Posdata: The beginning

Posdata

When I started this path of making a site/blog on the Internet, many years ago, I had the idea of writing as if I were writing by correspondence. The way I have created the blog (thinking of it as texts that I leave in drifting bottles) , and even entire texts that I wrote for that other site, are part of the roots of this blog. I have been writing in different ways and about different things, with which, little by little, the site has been changing according to my journey in this country. Suddenly, after doing a series of articles about Christmas, I realized that there were three types of texts in general that I really enjoy doing, but one of them in particular is hardly of interest to others (I realize that for site statistics).

Then I fell at another crossroads. Although I really enjoy writing about Iceland, while learning about the culture, customs, language, history and so on, sometimes it is not enough for me to cover other things that I would also like to write about. Among them is cinema, literature and curiosities that are not directly related to Iceland, but have a lot to do with who writes on this site.

I could start from scratch, but in part I think that starting this project as an excuse to make writing a habit and as a way to share (in the words of M.A., a very dear psychologist 🤣) my feelings about Iceland and my process In order to adapt to this new context, it is worth sharing things that have little or nothing to do with the country, and that even so, I believe are relevant within my process. I plan to continue writing about Iceland, that is clear, since I still have a lot to tell, if I have no shortage of topics. But sometimes, I would like to have a platform to write about other things, that don't fit in a site only about Iceland. On the other hand, the Stories category has gone from being about humorous anecdotes (which was the initial intention), to a mixture of parish announcements, blog-type texts, ambiguous texts,... in short, everything that does not properly fit into the other categories, it was here and certain texts need their separate space.

And that's how I came up with this new section. I called it Postscript because it is information that has nothing to do with the concept of La Ísland, but that can exist in the same place. Thus, you have content on much more varied topics, I can write about other topics that I am also passionate about, at the same time that I do not have to spend more to install another site and make two sites when one is more than enough ( if by itself I hardly maintain one). So we all win 👍!

Without further ado for the moment, I welcome you, hoping that you will also read me in this section.

Fondly,

L.Í.

P.S.: The ads on the site are also going to migrate to this corner.
