Welcome to La Ísland!

La Ísland was founded in 2019 with the premise of documenting my new life in Iceland, as messages in bottles drifting at sea. Gradually, the site has evolved alongside me, adapting to the times and taking on a clearer shape, without being into a specific topic (I like to describe it as an internet nonsense). If you’re interested in Iceland, whether out of curiosity, since it’s your next travel destination, or because you want to move here, this might be a good place to start (although as of now, this site is primarily in Spanish). POSTSCRIPT

After writing for a long time about Iceland, in 2021 I realized I also wanted to share information on other topics. Although my life is now here, my roots always find a way to surface, breaking through the asphalt. That is how the "Postscript" section was born—a space where I talk about Mexico, cinema, and the occasional random thoughts.

La Ísland Útgafa

As we gear up to launch this new space, you can enjoy the three editions of the La Ísland Almanac.

The 2020 edition compiles the twelve best pieces from our site's first year in PDF format. For 2021, we gathered 13 articles and added two exclusives for this digital magazine-style version. Our latest publication from 2022 features 14 previously unpublished texts—not all of which are about Iceland.
